MAKATI CITY, Philippines — Crafters in Metro Manila will have the opportunity to spend an entire day immersed in their favorite creative hobbies as Craft ’Til You Drop: The Backlog Edition takes place from September 4 to 6, 2026, at Assembly Grounds, The Rise in Makati City.
The three-day event is designed around a concept that has become popular among creative communities abroad: dedicating an extended period of time to working on unfinished creative projects while surrounded by people who share the same interests. Instead of crafting alone at home or trying to find a few spare hours between work and other responsibilities, participants can bring their unfinished projects and spend up to 12 uninterrupted hours creating.

The event encourages participants to bring their “PHD,” or “Projects Half Done,” whether it is an unfinished journal, scrapbook, sewing project, watercolor painting, photo project, or any other creative work that has been waiting to be completed. The idea is to turn those projects that have been sitting in drawers, boxes, and craft rooms into finished pieces while giving participants a dedicated day to focus on something they enjoy.
Craft ’Til You Drop will feature a variety of creative stations and resources that participants can use throughout the event, including a Tool Bar, Sewing Station, Photo Printer, and Watercolor Table. There will also be snacks, games, prizes, and other activities designed to keep participants engaged throughout their crafting session. The event gives attendees the freedom to work on their own projects while exploring different creative stations and meeting other members of the crafting community.
While crafting is at the heart of the event, Craft ’Til You Drop also recognizes the value of creative hobbies as a way to slow down and take a break from the demands of everyday life. Journaling, painting, sewing, scrapbooking, and other hands-on activities encourage people to step away from screens, focus their attention on something tangible, and make time for themselves.
The social aspect of the event is equally important. Crafting can often be a solitary hobby, and many enthusiasts may not have friends or family members who understand their enthusiasm for journals, stickers, paper, fabric, stationery, or other creative supplies.
